Gareth Bourke, Principal, B.Corp. Law (Hons), LL.B. (Hons), Solicitor

With over fifteen years experience in advising and representing private clients and businesses in many different matters, Gareth is a highly experienced and competent professional. Gareth qualified as a Solicitor in 2001. He gained valuable experience at large Dublin law firms including Hayes Solicitors and Eversheds before moving to Achill in 2005. Gareth regularly assists clients with complex property transactions. He has particular expertise in property having previously served for five years as a member of the Law Society’s Conveyancing Committee.

A significant part of Gareth’s practice concerns probate and estate planning. Gareth is currently a member of the Law Society’s Probate Committee, having been appointed in 2014. He routinely assists clients in making wills and advises executors on the administration of estates. Advising on Inheritance Tax including related exemptions and reliefs is another area Gareth regularly handles. He handles District Court, Circuit Court and High Court cases for clients involved in personal injury matters. Gareth is a former secretary of the Mayo Solicitors Bar Association
